Hi there! My name is Caitlin and I created Off the Wall Beta. I created this because I really love bouldering. When I have the opportunity I love to travel to experience bouldering on new and different rock in new and different places. When we get a chance to travel we are really calling a new place our home temporarily. In this way, what initially caused us to travel won't be the only way we experience a new place, or how a new place experiences us. In a way this is just a very niche travel blog focused on folks that are traveling to boulder in new places. I hope what people get out of this site is not a list of things to check off, but as a space to get some ideas of how they can engage with this new temporary home in other ways that aren't just rock climbing.
Being present in these new places that you find yourself visiting is important. I think you'll find that if you enjoy your temporary new home more holistically your trip will be that much more memorable!
Basically, leave a positive impact on the places you visit. Even if you aren't there for very long you still have an impact on the places you visit and the people you interact with. Make sure you leave your trip with a positive impact by being a good steward to the earth and a kind human to those you meet!
